For over 50 years, the Archbishop Hannan Community Appeal (AHCA) has raised necessary funds to support the 30+ programs of Catholic Charities. The campaign was begun by Archbishop Philip Hannan in the aftermath of Hurricane Betsy. Since then, community leaders have come together to rally aid for Catholic Charities programs which serve the homeless, children and families, seniors, the disabled and many more.
Through the generosity of others, Catholic Charities is able to serve nearly 80,000 individuals annually. Most impressively, 95 cents of every dollar raised from the campaign goes directly to those in need making it a sound philanthropic investment in our community. This year’s campaign chair is Tommie Vassel, and our campaign goal is $1.85M. Help us reach our goal by donating to the AHCA today! To learn more or to donate online, please visit
