Exhibit will be housed at Notre Dame Seminary from February to April 2013
On Friday, April 13, New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond will host a special news conference to formally announce the Archdiocese of New Orleans will host a new exhibit titled I Have Come to You Again: Blessed John Paul II from February through April 2013. The exhibit will focus on the life of the late pope, featuring photographs and keepsakes from his childhood though his pontificate.
The exhibit is being brought to the United States through the sponsorship of the National Exhibits Association under the direction of Father Malcolm Neyland. New Orleans is the first of three host cities in the U.S. The exhibit will travel from New Orleans to Seattle, Washington and then on to Washington D.C.
The exhibit will be divided into four sections:
The exhibit will feature the personal artifacts of His Holiness, Blessed Pope John Paul II and will primarily come from the Pope John Paul II Center in Krakow, Poland, and from the Vatican Collections, Vatican City State. Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, Archbishop for the Archdiocese of Krakow, has been extremely helpful in acquiring loaned items from Poland. Cardinal Dziwisz served as the personal assistant to His Holiness for almost 40 years.
