Msgr. Clinton Doskey died April 22; funeral Mass will be Friday, April 27 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in New Orleans.
Monsignor Clinton J. Doskey, a retired priest of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, died peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Ochsner Hospital, Jefferson Campus. Msgr. Doskey was 81 years of age.
Msgr. Doskey was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 28, 1931. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes and E. B. Kruttchnut elementary schools in New Orleans. His secondary and college years were at St. Joseph Seminary, St. Benedict, LA,. and Notre Dame Seminary. He received a J.C.B. degree from Catholic University and a J.C.L. degree from Lateran University. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of New Orleans on June 5, 1954. His first assignment was assistant at St. Rose of Lima Parish in New Orleans. He also served as assistant at Our Lady of Lourdes, Violet, Annunciation, New Orleans, St. Frances Cabrini, Sts. Peter and Paul, and Mater Dolorosa Parishes. His first pastorate was St. Francis de Sales Parish, New Orleans. He also served as pastor at St. Ann, St. Philip, St. Leo the Great, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Kenner, and St. Pius X Parish He was named a Prelate of Honor in April 1975. In addition to his pastoral ministry, Msgr. Doskey faithfully served the Metropolitan Tribunal in many different capacities. He served as a Consultor, Vice Chancellor, Vicar for Religious, and a member of the Priests’ Council. He retired from St. Pius X on June 30, 2009. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Monsignor Doskey is survived by three brothers, a sister, and nieces and nephews..
