Second Harvest Food Bank is seeking a Controller, who is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting. This position serves on the Leadership Team and is accountable for the safeguarding of the organization’s assets, providing cost effective and efficient internal controls and risk mitigation. This position has a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including Government Auditing Standards.
• Responsible for the preparation of all financial reports and all inventory reports;
• Oversees accounting team, budget preparation, audit function, insurance claims and data integrity;
• Reviews financial reports to analyze projections of budgeted revenue and expenses against actual totals;
• Meets regularly with Leadership team members to review and forecast their department’s financials.
Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or C.P.A.
Experience: Eight to ten years’ experience in financial management; a professional demeanor and a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial management information systems.
