Christmas Mass schedule in the French Quarter and CBD

The Archdiocese of New Orleans has announced schedules of Masses at business district churches for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

        

The schedules are as follows:   

        

St. Louis Cathedral: Dec. 24, Christmas Vigil Mass at 5 p.m., preceded by a concert and carols at 4:30 p.m. by the St. Louis Cathedral Boychoir, under the direction of Dreux Montegut. Doors will reopen at 11:15 p.m. in advance of the Mass at Midnight, with prelude music performed at 11:30 p.m. by the St. Louis Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dreux Montegut. Archbishop Alfred C. Hughes will celebrate the Mass, which will be televised live beginning at midnight on WLAE-TV, Channel 32. Masses Christmas Day will be at 9 and 11 a.m.

         A New Year’s Eve vigil Mass will be at 5 pm., Dec. 31, with New Year’s Day Masses celebrated at 7:30 a.m. and noon.

        

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 411 N. Rampart St.: Dec. 24, Christmas Vigil Mass at 4 p.m. (Children’s liturgy). Doors will reopen at 10:30 p.m. there will be Christmas carols prior to Midnight Mass beginning at 11:30 p.m.  Dec. 25, Masses at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.      

        

Immaculate Conception Church (Jesuit’s), 130 Baronne St.: Dec. 24, Christmas Vigil Mass at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and Midnight Mass. Dec. 25, Masses at 8, 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

        

St. Joseph Church, 1802 Tulane Ave.: Dec. 25, Midnight Mass and 10 a.m.

New Year’s Eve vigil Mass will be celebrated Dec. 31 at 4 p.m.

        

St. Patrick Church, 724 Camp St.: Christmas Vigil Masses (English) at 4 and 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 11 p.m. with the Choir music beginning at 11:15 p.m., followed by Midnight Mass (Latin Mass). Dec. 25, Masses (English) at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Security will be provided at all services.
