Ash Wednesday, the first day of the Catholic Lenten season in preparation for Easter, is Wednesday, February 6, 2008 – the earliest the date can fall on the Church calendar.  In Catholic tradition, Ash Wednesday is a day of sacrifice, penance and fasting during which the faithful attend Mass to receive a cross of ashes on their foreheads to remind them of their humanity and God’s power and blessings in their lives.

The following list is compiled from parishes that submitted Mass and Prayer Service times to the Office of Communications for publication.  All are invited to attend.  Please contact parishes individually for additional Mass times and more information.
