Some parishes adjust Mass schedules in preparation for a Black and Gold victory
As the City of New Orleans and the metropolitan area continue to bask in the joy of a Black and Gold Super Bowl, many local parishes are making adjustments to their Sunday Mass schedules. Some parishes throughout the archdiocese are rescheduling their Sunday evening Mass schedule while others are canceling the Mass altogether and encouraging people to attend Mass Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.
In last week's Pastoral Bulletin that goes out to all parishes and archdiocesan offices, Archbishop Gregory Aymond asked that those parishes that were planning changes, please announce the schedule at all Masses this weekend. Those who may have missed the announcement are advised to contact their parish or nearby parishes by phone or email to inquire about evening Masses.
